Private Educator Experience

Alongside my work in schools and tutoring, I have over eight years of experience working within private households as both a tutor and travelling private educator.

case study:

One recent role involved working as a travelling private educator on a rota basis, supporting a nine-year-old student while accompanying the family to international sporting competitions and extended travel.

During this time, I delivered daily lessons aligned with the US Common Core curriculum, maintaining a consistent academic routine across multiple locations. Lessons were tailored to the student’s learning style and incorporated approaches such as storytelling, project-based learning and real-world cultural experiences.

Alongside teaching, I worked closely with household staff and wider teams to ensure the student’s education remained seamless, consistent and well-supported at all times.

I support families who require flexible, consistent and highly personalised education, particularly those with busy schedules or internationally mobile lifestyles. My work includes preparing students for school entrance assessments, delivering structured academic support, and creating learning routines that build confidence and continuity outside of a traditional classroom.

I am experienced in working with discretion and professionalism within private households, and in collaborating effectively with wider household teams.
